City of Adelaide Pipe Band

City of Adelaide Pipe Band | South Australia

City of Adelaide Pipe Band has proudly represented the City of Adelaide for over 30 years. Our pipers and drummers regularly perform to audiences in our home city, around Australia and internationally. The band has twice performed at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient (France), which is the world’s largest festival of Celtic arts.

The band is grateful for the generous support of the City of Adelaide. Our patron is The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Dr Jane Lomax-Smith AM .

City of Adelaide Pipe Band is South Australia's highest-graded pipe band, competing in Grade 3. The band's contest history includes two Australian Pipe Band Championship titles.

Learn to play Bagpipes and Drums in Adelaide

The band offers the highest quality of musical tuition to young people (school age) with an interest in playing in our pipe band. The band's learners programme, called the Gracenotes Academy of Piping and Drumming, was established as a stepping stone into pipe band music and, under the guidance of the City of Adelaide Pipe Band's senior pipers and drummers, has achieved consistent success.
